Your Workshop Speaker
Katherine Barner is a grief and trauma expert, author, and speaker. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in both secular and Christian sectors of the mental health field for nearly three decades. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Spelman College, Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas and Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Grace School of Theology. Katherine is also certified as an ICISF crisis responder, Clinical Trauma Specialist, and a trained EMDR practitioner.
Currently, she serves as Director of HeartCare Team Ministry and a Board Member of the Women's Institute at Grace Center for Spiritual Development. She is also the founder of She Is H.E.R. Circle™, an international community of Christian women united to impact the Kingdom of God. Katherine is married to Celious, and they are proud parents of four adult children and grandparents to their beloved granddaughters, Layla Jean and Sage.

What is the "Living Beyond Loss" workshop?
"Living Beyond Loss" is a live, interactive grief workshop designed to provide support and healing for individuals recovering from loss.
What is included in the cost of the workshop?
The cost of the workshop is $65 per person. This fee includes:
- A comprehensive training workbook
- A copy of the book God Help Me, I’m Grieving: Finding Healing After Loss by Katherine Barner
- Lunch
Is the workshop interactive?
Yes, the workshop is designed to be interactive. Participants will engage in various in-session activities to facilitate learning and sharing experiences in a supportive environment.
Do I need to bring anything?
All necessary materials will be provided, including the workbook and book. Just bring yourself and an open heart ready to learn and share.
Will there be food provided?
Yes, lunch will be provided as part of the workshop.
Can I register on the day of the workshop?
Pre-registration is required to ensure we have enough materials and meals for all participants. On-site registration is not available.
Can I bring a guest?
Due to the nature of the workshop, each participant must register individually to ensure they receive all the materials and benefits of the session.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
Registration is non-refundable but is transferrable. If you would like to transfer your registration to a friend or family member, please email info@katherinebarner.org no later than 12pm CST on Monday, October 20, 2025.
